It’s Fun Food Friday and today’s screed comes out of my recent trip.  Over the years, our group figured out that the cost/value equation for the roster of restaurants in Myrtle Beach was way out of whack and we’d be far better off cooking for ourselves a few nights.  The condos where we stay have grills and we take full advantage of them. Foodie Fun Friday

I was going to spend today’s post writing about Mark Twain‘s quote on consultants:

Adam was not alone in the Garden of Eden, however, and does not deserve all the credit; much is due to Eve, the first woman, and Satan, the first consultant.

The Meat-off

It’s Friday and that, in my book, spells food!

Someone with knowledge of my love of things meat-related sent me this link to a Paul Lukas piece on meat. Specifically, he runs his own little bracket tournament by placing various cuts of specific proteins into an “eat-off” to determine the final four best cuts. Specifically, the winners of the beef region, the pork region, the sausage region, and something called the “Meatscellaneous Region” face off. Continue reading
