All Roads…

I spoke with a couple of friends today who got to the same place from very different beginnings.  One has been self-employed for 30 years; the other has worked for a number of prominent companies for about as long.  Both are unhappy, both are concerned, both want to make changes in their lives.  And somehow both ended up with the same realization. Your best dish?

Over the weekend I did a bit of cooking, as usual. Some of it used recipes, some of it used the knowledge I’ve accumulated over a lot of years in the kitchen. While doing some of the prep work (mise, to you foodie types), my mind wandered and was thinking about..um…thinking! Happy New Year!

I’m a big fan of New Year’s Day.  Not only is there a lot of high-quality football (OK, and hockey) to watch but there are generally great leftovers and no rules on eating all kinds of bad snack food while you do your best speed-bump imitation on the couch.  Of course, I like it for other reasons as well.
