Over the weekend I did a bit of cooking, as usual. Some of it used recipes, some of it used the knowledge I’ve accumulated over a lot of years in the kitchen. While doing some of the prep work (mise, to you foodie types), my mind wandered and was thinking about..um…thinking! Here is an interesting post from Mitch Joel of Twist Image to start the new year. It’s all about separating the wheat from the chaff in the new media strategist space. After all, what does one need to be an expert here in our digital playground? A Twitter account? A nice Facebook page? Mitch’s point is that almost anyone can set up shop and call themselves an expert but that not everyone who does so is even remotely qualified. Continue reading →

I’m a big fan of New Year’s Day. Not only is there a lot of high-quality football (OK, and hockey) to watch but there are generally great leftovers and no rules on eating all kinds of bad snack food while you do your best speed-bump imitation on the couch.
