Yesterday

After playing golf for a couple of days it’s hard for me not to have it on the brain.  I mean even more than I usually do.  Which is a lot.  However, I recognize that many of you find golf a mysterious, boring waste of 4 hours so I try to find takeaways from the game that are applicable to non-golf situations as well. Julia

It’s Friday, so back to my favorite topic: food! Today is the release of the Julie/Julia movie and I, for one, can’t wait to see it.  Before the Food Network, before the plethora of cooking shows, there was Julia Child in color but first in perfect black and white teaching us how to cook. She was the second Julia in my culinary life.

The first was my friend T’s mom, Julia, in whose kitchen I spent many hours waiting for T to wake up or get dressed. Her teaching, along with the TV Julia, ignited a life-long passion for food and cooking. Taught me about business too! Continue reading

If you’ve spent any time around ad agencies and/or media sales people, inevitably the subject of process automation comes up. Many agencies are living in fear of Google on a lot of levels, in part because the big guys don’t do search and search’s high accountability calls a lot of other media decisions into question.   One other factor is the automation of the whole buying and selling process and that’s today’s topic.
