Fish Sticks

Foodie Fun Friday returns!  Today’s topic is fish sticks.  That’s right – the bane of every Catholic kid’s existence when I was young.  Strangely, these happen to be among my favorite foods.  There’s usually a box of them in the freezer and dipped in a blend of tartar and hot sauces, they’re often in front of me as I watch some sporting event or other.   I was heating up  a batch of them the other day when I had an epiphany:  what I was doing (reheating frozen fish) is what much of America thinks is cooking.  Come to think of it, there’s a business lesson in there as well. Book ‘Em?

I’m thinking about writing a book. Seriously. It may be that I will be its only reader, but that’s OK.  Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination, right?   What am I going to write about? Why am I  going to write it?  Those are both good questions.  It’s not that I have a ton of free time, it’s not that it’s going to make a ton of money, but I kind of feel that it would be a great way to help organize the years of business thinking rattling around in my head both for me and for you. Coraggio

Happy Birthday to me! When you’re a kid, you can’t wait for birthdays because they mean you’re older, wiser, and have more stuff from the gifts that will show up.  Now that I’m older (not OLD, thank you), they become a bit less desirable since you get to a point where you don’t quite know how many you have left.  For some reason, the word “courage” popped into my head this morning and as I’m having the morning coffee, it seems to be a great word for an anniversary.
