This week’s Foodie Fun Friday post is dedicated to all of you who won’t be using the bathroom for the next week. You know who you are. But the gentiles out there are wondering “what could he possibly mean? What could possibly stop someone up that badly?” Well, dear readers, Passover started Wednesday night and by now, most Jewish homes have had two Seders. This is the time of year when the ticks come out. For those of you who don’t live in the ‘burbs ticks are nasty little parasitic critters that transmit all kinds of sickness as they latch on to their host. The Mrs. and I spend a lot of time checking the dog and ourselves for ticks since we know lots of people, including our eldest daughter, who’ve had Lyme Disease, which is transmitted by ticks.

I don’t know about you, but this Daylight Savings time thing is brutal. My timing is all off. The dog, who has the most accurate and amazing internal clock I’ve ever seen, is confused and is demanding dinner an hour late. I’m staying up too late so the problem I’m having with the change is compounded. I mean it’s only an hour – like taking a business trip to Chicago, right? Wrong. Continue reading →
