Time Off For Good Behavior

It’s almost Christmas and I know many of you will be taking time off from what you do day-to-day in order to relax.  Me too, sort of.  One thing I’ve found is that traffic to this blog (hopefully others as well) drops off a lot during holidays.  Makes sense – this is mostly business-related and who the heck wants to think about business whilst on holiday?

So a few brief things:

Thank you to all of you who read this blog.  If you’re a regular – spread the word.  If you’re not, please let me know what you’d like to see so I can get you back more often.

Thank you to the clients with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working over the last 12 months.  You guys are a lot of the inspiration for the blog.  Howdy and get some rest to clients both continuing and new.  You’re going to need it as we bust our butts to make 2010 a banner year.

Finally, I’m going to repost some of my favorite scribbles over the next week.  Please do check them out and let me know if they hold up as time has passed.  But that’s enough for today.  Let’s grab an egg-nog, fire up the Yule Log, and enjoy!

The Top of The Coaster

Roller coaster

You know the feeling – the slow ride up the ramp while the chain clacks along. Generally it’s a nice view as you get to the top – you’re enjoying the scenery and the nice smooth ride and then…well…you get to the top. It seems as if everything stops for a brief moment as you tip forward and realize, in that last moment of clarity, what my cousin said to me our first time on Space Mountain over 35 years ago: I think we’re going to die.
