I’m fascinated by the obsession some folks have with dashboards. Not the kind you find when you climb behind the wheel of a car. Those are way too simple for some folks. Nope. I mean the business dashboards some folks stare at trying to make sense of what’s going on in their business. Some of them have graphs, dials, and, in the words of Arlo Guthrie, twenty-seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to figure out if things were going as planned. Brain Surgery
Friday at last, and with it some food-related thinking. There’s a new study out from the Harris folks which, in their words says that
Amateur chef shows abound and huge numbers watch, thinking – “Wow that looks easy. I could probably do that as well.” But how many Americans actually watch these programs? And just who are there favorite TV chefs?

It was yet another innocuous piece of LinkedIn group spam – you probably get them in your in-box all the time as well. Unlike most of the others I get on a regular basis, this one really caught my eye and I read it over a few times to make sure I hadn’t misread it. Unfortunately for the author , I hadn’t.
