Cracking An Egg

It’s Friday, so it’s time for more Foodie Fun.  Yes, another incomparable combination of food and business, although I’m going to be really brief today!

I was watching Jacques Pepin the other evening.  In the middle of explaining a recipe, he stopped to explain how to crack an egg.  Now, I’ve been cooking pretty seriously for 40+ years (I started young!) and that’s one thing I’ve never even considered.  I mean – crack the shell, dump it out, look for shell pieces, move on, right? What Are We Doing

Today I’m raising a question for which I don’t really have an answer.  I guess it’s more of an observation and perhaps we can all figure out the answer together.

I’ve spent a good number of years in the sports business.  I love it because it’s a business about which people are passionate, both the folks who work in it and the fans who consume it.  But lately I’ve asked myself what we’re doing to those fans and I had a conversation the other day which really raised my level of concern.
