Friday at last, and with it some food-related thinking. There’s a new study out from the Harris folks which, in their words says that

Amateur chef shows abound and huge numbers watch, thinking – “Wow that looks easy. I could probably do that as well.” But how many Americans actually watch these programs? And just who are there favorite TV chefs?

I think the results give us a business thought as well.  But then again, don’t I always find those thoughts in weird places? Continue reading

Winning Fair

I’m really sorry the World Cup is over. It’s amazing to me how the intensity of the event starts out at a high level and just keep growing, reaching its apex during the final, as it did yesterday. Two sides determined to win at all costs and bring home glory. Ah, competition!

There is so much going on – The U.S. Open, World Cup, Father’s Day – that it’s hard to know about which topic to write.  But since it’s Friday, I know the answer:  food!  There will be lots of cookouts this weekend – we’re going to a couple – and it’s interesting me to that I can see which hosts have lots of business savvy and which have less just from their menu.  Am I psychic?
