Some Brilliant Marketing And A Favor

My neighbor and her family left this morning for Japan. What’s interesting about that is that her son is going for 10 days and bringing no luggage. Nothing checked, nothing carried on. In the process, besides finding a brilliant way to avoid all the nasty fees airlines are imposing these days, he’s raising awareness and money for a cause he supports. Common Sense

A friend sent me a copy of an email that’s been around the web since 1998 which reminded me of an excellent point. This mail started out as a blog post and has been excerpted and rewritten several times and it deals with the topic of common sense. No, it has nothing to do with Thomas Paine (although his pamphlet would make great reading in today’s climate). Instead, it has to do with sound judgment and that’s what triggered my thought. TV Shows We Used To Watch - 1955 Television ad...

Did you run into any friends this weekend?  You might have and I’m willing to wager that the conversation wasn’t solely about their lives and how great they are.  It’s like the joke where someone is chattering about themselves for 10 minutes and then says “but enough about ME! How do YOU like my watch?”  No one would really do that, right?
