I have an aversion to reading reports. Weird, right? I’ve written before about how much I read every day and those who’ve worked  with me know that I’m constantly wanting to discuss tidbits of information I’ve found someplace to see if they could move our business forward.  But those tidbits aren’t reports – they’re usually from the web or print publications.  Really useful reports are hard to find and I have a theory as to why. Dripping The Business Away

Sometimes things that go wrong in a business are hard to find. Sometimes we don’t even know they’ve gone wrong. It’s easy to spot the employee that disrupts a vibe of a department or the salesperson who isn’t producing. Other problems are much more insidious and require a deeper dive by management.  The problem is that unless the business is under performing as a whole some managers are happy just to mosey on down the road.
