Restocking

“So where is he this morning and why is my blog reading enjoyment cut off?”. That’s what you’re thinking. I know – it’s like I’m psychic! Well, I’m attending an advertising and marketing conference today where I’m restocking my brain and blog idea bank. This, of course, ultimately benefits you, dear reader. Please don’t take the fact that I have the time and attention span to post this mobilly as an indication of the quality of the information I’m getting. It’s actually been pretty good so far.

What’s Ya Culcha?

That’s a horrible title for SEO purposes, I know, since I’ve misspelled “Culture” which is today’s topic.  Not high-brow entertainment or the ones found in yogurt.  Nope.  Today we talk about the culture that surrounds us at work.  That term – corporate culture – and what it represents is not an object of focus often enough, in my opinion.  It’s often an after-thought;  something that evolves on its own because no one is really paying attention.  Sort of like mold.  And that’s a big mistake. The Future of Empathy

There’s a report on a study from the University of Michigan this morning which I find to be both alarming and depressing. Of course, the findings of the report would have to be accurate although I suspect they are, and the implications to business are, in my mind, pretty apparent. Continue reading
