I’ve got rain on the brain today so nothing food-related for this Friday. Sorry! But it’s been raining for almost 48 hours and while the conditions here are better than those further south, it’s still pretty wet. The power went off and on a couple of times and there are trees down all over the place.

Helicoptering Away Your Privacy
I was trying to explain Foursquare to someone this morning. The issue on which we got focused was not so much is it a game or is it a social utility (It’s a floor wax! It’s a dessert topping! – if you don’t get that, search Shimmer Floor Wax). The issue we kept discussing was privacy. Fall Is For Football
I was driving back to the office yesterday and passed the Little League fields here in town. It was late on a beautiful fall afternoon and there were a couple of games going on. I’m guessing the kids were somewhere around 10 or 11 and from the looks of their uniforms they had been playing for a bit.
I had an immediate reaction to this and it probably wasn’t what you’d expect. Oh sure, I think it’s great that they were outside and playing instead of vegging out in front of the TV or video game. But I found it kind of disturbing and it kicked off a business thought as well. Let me explain. Continue reading
