The Ultimate Technology

Lots of folks in the tech space spend an awful lot of time on social media.  They think about it, design new products to enable it, figure out business plans to market using it, plot ways to make money off of it – it’s a big deal!  to a certain extent, I’m one of those folks, since a number of my clients are in the social space and even the ones that aren’t really invested in it want to know more.  That means that I think about it a lot as well and I want to share a thought I had about it that I think points everyone in the right direction. It’s A Dessert Topping! It’s A Floor Wax!

I read an article the other morning and it made me think of the old SNL skit for Shimmer Floor Wax.  If you don’t know it you can watch the skit by clicking this link (I tried to embed it but good luck getting certain video providers to work nicely with WordPress). Top Posts of 2010 #2

This was the most read post this year although I think it has a lot more to do with the inclusion of an obscure Monty Python character – Mr. Creosote – than it does the subject matter – a study on how young people are spending their time with media. mr creosote I see him as a referring term in the analytics and I just know people are so upset when they get a rant on digital media and A.D.D. instead of a gross-out session.  Then again, maybe what’s going on with peoples’ brains qualifies… Continue reading
